Ramakrishna Mission Sarada Kindergarten was officially opened on 27 December 1992. From January 2002 Sarada Kindergarten has about five hundred children in 22 classes – eight each for Nursery and K1 and six for K2 with the staff strength of thirty-three.
Sarada Kindergarten is located in the premises of Ramkrishna Mission which is 179 Bartley Road Singapore 539784. Closest MRT would be Paya Lebar & once the circle line is complete, Bartley MRT will be the closest MRT station.
Sarada Kindergarten has a simple registration process which needs either parent to come to the Kindergarten to register the child and bring along the following: (a) The Original and one copy of the child’s Birth Certificate; (b) One recent passport size photograph of the child; (c) Both parents’ Identity Cards; (d) $2 for registration form.
The fees schedule is as follows:
Term Fees (4 times /yr) Nursery/ K1/K2
School Fees $ 450.00
Annual insurance fee $ 3.00
School uniform ($15/set – min 2 sets)$ 30.00
PE attire – (T-shirt/shorts & cap) 1 set $ 13.00
School bag (1 each) $ 7.00
Total $ 503.00
School subjects are a mix of overall preschool curriculum coupled with language introductions. The children develop communication skills through various activities, which help children converse in English and Mother Tongue (Tamil and Hindi). Apart from this there are some interesting subjects as part of the Preschool and include topics like Speech and Drama, Numeracy, Outdoor/Indoor Play, Music & Movement, Art and Craft, Computer, Civics & Science.
The school is active in getting children used to personality development by conducting enrichment classes on Saturdays. Those classes are:
· Computer Club
· English Speech and Drama
· Tamil Speech and Dram
· Vocal-Carnatic
· Bharatanatyam
· Vedic Mathematics
· Abacus
